Blakemar Briars

Beneath the glow of a frosty moon,
The world wrapped tight in a snowy cocoon,
Saint Nick rests after his flight so steep,
His reindeer fed, the world asleep.

With a twinkle of mirth and a jolly “Ho, ho”
He lights his pipe, its embers aglow.
The sweet scent drifts through the winter air,
A moment of peace, beyond compare.

The gifts are given, the stockings hung,
The carols whispered, the last bell rung.
Saint Nick, with his briar, reflects on the cheer,
And savours the warmth of another good year.
